“As we hit record highs for both participation and prize pool, we knew our Ambassador and World Champion Chris Moneymaker would have his work cut out for him. When we spotted 2001 WSOP Champion Carlos Mortensen at one of our tables, we knew things were going to get even tougher. We also welcomed back Season One Final Table players Ryan Tepen, Sam Stein, & Ben Palmer. Some thought HPO history might repeat itself as Kitty Kuo the lone woman at our Final Table and seemed to be running good but was ousted in 3rd place. Her knockout came at the hands of our eventual winner Simon Deadman. He’d been runner-up in plenty of other events but on Day 3, he owned the Final Table and became our Season 2 Champion.”
